Why Evelmo exists

Throughout my career building and leading engineering teams at B2B SaaS startups, I've seen the same pattern play out with audit logs. Teams either skipped them entirely — and paid the price during their first security review — or spent two or three months building something that was “append-only” in name only, with no real tamper detection and no verification story.

The cryptographic piece isn't hard, but it's the kind of thing every team reinvents badly because nobody has time to do it properly alongside everything else they're shipping. Evelmo is the version of audit logging I wished had existed when I was building it myself for the third time.

What you get from a founder-led product

Evelmo is small and founder-led on purpose. When you hit a problem, you talk to me — not a support queue. Same-day response in most time zones. Bugs get fixed faster than at larger vendors. The roadmap is driven by what early customers actually need, not by what looks good in a board deck.

That also means I'm serious about the things that matter when you're trusting a small company with your audit trail. Your data is exportable from the dashboard at any time, in both CSV and JSON. Only you and your team can read your logs. And if Evelmo ever shuts down, you get 90 days notice, a final export, and the format spec published — your audit trail doesn't disappear because the company does.
